Glastonbury Community Services

Glastonbury Community Services is a trusted community partner delivering care and support services to children, young people and families in need to achieve their potential.

With two main offices based in Geelong and Colac and servicing the municipalities of City of Greater Geelong, Surfcoast Shire, Golden Plains Shire, Borough of Queenscliff, Colac Otway Shire and the Corangamite Shire Glastonbury has a highly mobile workforce who need access to quality communications solutions wherever they are based.

Glastonbury has partnered with Connect Tel since 2003 where Connect Tel maintained their existing PABX in Geelong, provided phone & data cabling and Telstra fixed line ordering & support as well as technical assistance at the various community houses throughout the region. 

As Glastonbury expanded into new sites within the community they engaged Connect Tel to design and implement a Unified Communication solution to improve connectivity between all sites regardless of the geographical location.  Completed in 2007 the current LG300 IP Enabled PABX has connected Geelong, Norlane, Colac and now a 2nd site in Geelong with a robust, easy to use and manage phone system that continues to provide simple quality communications between all sites.

Mobility is a key component of Glastonbury’s service – staff regularly visit clients at their homes or at local community centres and neighbourhood houses throughout the region.  Access to mobility solutions that provide quality service and coverage is paramount.  Glastonbury use Connect Tel to manage their Telstra Mobile services to ensure they are on the most cost effective plans, suitable reliable devices and have access to highly experienced mobility staff to engage for any questions or issues.

In recent times with Connect Tel’s emergence as a whole of business communications and IT partner Glastonbury has engaged Connect Tel to design, implement & support various IT products and services.  Combined with the management of their Voice and Mobility Connect Tel now provide Glastonbury with a single point of contact and accountability for their communications & IT requirements.
